Four Years

Saturday, July 3, 2010

It’s been four years and one day since I heard her voice.

It’s been four years today that I got the call.

It’s been four years today that she fell.

It’s been four years today that the ambulance came.

It’s been four years today that the doctor made a negligent call.

It’s been four years this hour that I was on a plane in shock.

It’s been four years today that my Dad kept asking for me.

It’s been four years today that one life ended and many lives changed.

It’s been four years ago today that I heard the words “I’m so sorry Teri. Your mama just died.”

It’s been four years today that part of me died too.

It’s been four years and the tears keep coming.

Oh man. Heartbreaking. I cannot imagine pain like that of losing your mama. So sorry, love.

(Of course the tears are flowing right now because I'm a major cry baby) <<>> Having had the same loss, I know it cuts deep. For me it will be 11 year in October, but time hasn't changed the hurt. You'll always miss her. Those pictures are beautiful. Gorgeous flowers.

Big hugs to you! It's been 15 years for me, and I still miss my mother terribly.

I get you.
I lost my mother too.
A virtual hug your way as it's all I can do.

I am so sorry that you lost your mom. That must have been so hard. I lost my dad back in 1985 and sometimes it is hard and I still miss him.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

I'm so sorry. You never get over the death of your mother. Mine died 6 years ago when my baby was 8 weeks old. I feel like I lost my mother when I needed her most.

Please be extra-good to yourself to day. And make sure your kids are too!

Love and hugs!

That pic of me and mom makes me think that that is the reason of the 60+ hats that I have, I always pick that one wear.

I am sorry. It's hard to lose someone that close to you.

Oh, this makes me so sad. I'm so sorry that you lost your Mom, and apparently in such a sudden way.

My brother died very unexpectedly 10 years ago, and I know the sadness.

Hang in there friend.

I'm so sorry for your loss, but know that your mom will be with you always. This post demonstrates what a strong, remarkable woman you are... your mother would be very proud :)

Wishing you all the best.

Hi I found your blog through The Lady Bloggers Tea Party and being a fellow Bipolar thought I would check it out. This short post is so sad, it brought a lump into my throat. Whilst not my Mum, I did lose my little boy at birth and can relate to your pain especially the sudden shock. I hope the day passed gently for you and I will be adding you to my blogroll so I can come back and read more soon. Take care x

Im so sorry for your tears. I have them too. My husband and best friend died a year ago from cancer. We were together for 21 years!. I know about the tears, the heartbreak, although we feel it differently it is still grief anyway you look at it. I dont expect the tears will ever stop and the heart will ever mend.
HUGS
